netbook - earlyish month
Hello, and well met. My name is Joshua, and I have only just recently arrived in this place.
Might there be someone here skilled in the making of medicine? I would appreciate any information you might have.
Thank you.

( lily is... quiet, gripping the book in her hands tightly for a moment. )
Before he gave up his power to empower this world's kinder gods, my husband had the power of Truth on his side. He could see through any lie and deception, quite literally- all truth was laid bare before him.
He found letters. Between myself and him, between our friends, and more. Notes and journals, research. Echoes of an elderly married life.
It was all True.

He's not sure how much he likes that. Was Ultima lying, then? He shouldn't have a previous life. He was crafted, his will given to him via... well, Joshua frankly. How is it possible. Whose lying?
He frowns down at the book in front of him. ]
Gods.
[ He's so done with them. ]
Though I suppose I should thank whoever brought my brother and I here.
[ It's a second - third or fourth maybe - change. ]

Take your time. ... But regardless of the good that comes from it, we must not thank that beast in the forest. I have watched it kill and maim who it pleases for whatever reason it desires. I will not give it gratitude, and neither should you.

Thank you.
[ He will sip lightly at it, enjoy the cool rush... and he will also pass it to Joshua to share. Big brother activated. Another flower marked and noted: different color? ]
Why bring us here, if it wishes us gone?

So it wants us gone, so it can have it's sister all to itself, but only after it's had it's fun.

( bluntly. ... for all she's pulled back in the forest, she's also grown harsher in a way. )
I imagine the centuries upon centuries of isolation, stripped even of his identity, did not help in it's madness. But the goal is the same. And so is the shortsightedness.

[ Soft little grunt if displeasure and annoyance, as he tries to focus on the book. ]
It must be stopped, then. It threatens everyone and won't listen to reason.
[ If they're at this point, he can already guess it won't.
It and Ultima have a lot in common. ]
