Doorways don't come up as often as one may like. Teleportation is akin to closing distance and stepping forward before resetting everything in a split-second in this world, and if it ain't broke, why fix it?

(It's very broke. Don't ask about the number of historical teleportation accidents. Or do.)

Doorways lead to places not of this earth. But opening them is... not advised, because things are separate for a reason. Seamus's research may note that things get in, and don't quite leave. Going through them changes you. But his was specifically related to necromancy and not a divine library? So that might be good for you guys!

Ideally, if one is using a doorway to travel great distances, both the starting point and ending point have matching doors. Matching frames, matching components, aligned in every way. ... It's possible to do without, but it's recommended. Maybe once the door is open you can see about fixing that.
